Who may vote via absentee ballot?

For all answers about absentee voting, visit the Davidson County Election Commission's website on Absentee Voting

How do I obtain an absentee ballot?

The Davidson County Election Commission accepts requests for an absentee ballot 90 days before an election up to 5 days before the election. You must write a letter to the Commission stating your name, address and date of birth or social security number. The letter must state the name and date of the election in which you wish to vote via absentee ballot. It must also state the reason you are unable to vote in person either on election day or during early voting. The letter must contain your signature and should state the address where you would like the absentee ballot mailed. Address the letter to the Davidson County Election Commission, Attention: Absentee Department, P.O. Box 650, Nashville, TN 37202. You may also fax your letter to (615) 880-1729. Or, you may overnight your letter to: Davidson County Election Commission, 700 Second Avenue S., Room 153, Nashville, TN 37210.
